How Our Dog Training Services Work
At WonderPups University, we offer personalized, positive reinforcement dog training in Jersey City, Hoboken, Bayonne, and nearby areas. Whether you're starting fresh with a new puppy, navigating behavior challenges with an adopted dog, or looking to refresh your dog’s basic obedience, we’re here to help you and your dog thrive.
Every dog is unique, which is why we begin with a 30-minute virtual consultation before your first session. This allows us to learn about your dog’s history, understand your training goals, and address any specific challenges—so we can create a plan that fits your needs.
Our private, one-on-one dog training sessions take place in your home or virtually, using proven positive reinforcement dog training methods. This lets your dog learn in a familiar, low-stress environment—and makes it easier for you to integrate new skills into your daily routine.
Our training programs cover everything from puppy basics and recall training to leash reactivity, nervous behavior, and adjusting to a newly adopted dog. If you’re looking for help with a specific behavior issue, we’re here to support you. Whether you need puppy training in Hoboken or support for reactivity in Bayonne, we’ll help you bring out the best in your dog and give you the tools to help them succeed.

Rates
Initial virtual 30- minute consultation- $50
Private in- home training sessions (45-60 minutes of personalized coaching) - $120 per session
Virtual training session - (45-60 Minutes of virtual training) -$100 per session
Day School - (30-minute, one-on-one training session with your dog) - $60 per session. Please note: One private lesson is required before enrolling. Contact us to learn about the locations we serve!

Our puppy training program helps you build a strong foundation during your dog’s most important learning stage. We work with you to address real-life challenges where they happen—like house-training, nipping, chewing, and jumping—while teaching essential skills using positive reinforcement. Grooming, veterinary visits, and general maintenance can sometimes be stressful for both you and your dog. Our cooperative care training teaches your dog to calmly cooperate during routine procedures such as nail trims, ear cleaning, and handling. This promotes a positive experience for your furry friend and eases stress for everyone involved.

Is your dog easily triggered by other dogs, strangers, or certain situations? Our reactivity training program focuses on desensitization and counter-conditioning techniques to help your dog feel more comfortable and confident in their surroundings. Together, we'll work towards reducing your dog's reactivity to ensure enjoyable walks and outings. Additionally, we can assist with minor separation issues by creating a customized daily plan to minimize your dog's stress when you're away.
Service Area
Our dog training services are primarily available in Hudson County, NJ, including Jersey City, Hoboken, and Bayonne, as well as in Union County areas such as Summit, Livingston, and surrounding communities. We are happy to travel beyond these areas to accommodate your needs; please note that additional travel fees may apply.

Cancellation/Refund Policy
If you cancel 48 hours or more before a session, you can reschedule at no additional charge. If you cancel within 24 hours of your session we require the full amount to be paid.
